Academic path
Michael Meser studied business administration at Pforzheim University, ESC Dijon and Humboldt University in Berlin. Afterwards, he completed his doctorate in empirical capital market research at the University of Bremen. He is now a professor of financial management and financial accounting at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.
Professional stages
Michael gained his practical experience at Ernst & Young in the area of corporate restructuring and at Deloitte in Hamburg, where he worked in IFRS Advisory Services. The interface between science and practice continues to shape his consulting work on IFRS issues and annual financial statements audits.
