Academic path
Thilo Nolte studied business administration at the University of Cologne and at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He received his doctorate from the University of Siegen. In 2017, he supplemented his academic education with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
Professional stages
After completing his doctorate, Thilo gained practical experience in the “IFRS in the Centre of Excelence” (Policy Department) and in the IFRS Advisory Services Team (expert advice) at Deloitte. Since 2012, he has been advising capital market-oriented companies and upper medium-sized companies as an independent management consultant on their challenges in international financial reporting.
Teaching & publications
Thilo lectures on IFRS, particularly at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He also publishes specialist articles on international financial reporting.

On his travels, Thilo likes to explore the culinary diversity of different countries — with curiosity, openness and lots of pleasure.
